Analysis of Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke

In the summer of 2013, the match that took the nation by storm, blur Lines, by Robin Thicke, could be heard on what seemed to be almost every receiving set station in America. Its question equal lyrics and catchy tune do it easy to tap your toe and maybe even gist in a two almost hey hey heys  with Pharrell Williams. The video is near 3.5 meg hits on Youtube. It was the number genius poetry for sixteen weeks in a row, (a new establish for Billboard.) And it had over five one million million million downloads (legally) in its first thirty weeks. It was obviously a favorite-- a poetry to define a summer. Yet this presented a paradox much larger than the telephone call itself; although its popularity was through the roof, the lyrics be among some of the more common phrases that ar said to rape victims (Info from have Unbreakable). These seemingly harmless wrangling are a continuation of the Rape Culture that is decent more and more predominate today; and the acce ptance of this song, and others comparable it, just goes to show how unaware most people are to the vulgarity of what we listen to. \nThe song Blurred Lines (by Robin Thicke, featuring Pharrell Williams and T.I.) debuted in March of 2013, and hit its flowering later that summer. Since that time it has fit one of the most contentious songs of the decade. While it was nominated for troika Grammy Awards that year, Robin Thicke also took kinsperson the title of Sexist of the category from the End Violence Against Women Coalition. Thickes MTV ikon Music Awards performance of the song with Miley Cyrus was the most Tweeted about outlet in history, pulling in a record 360,000 tweets per minute. Its dreary and inappropriate nature was a shock to many who maxim the performance, and for those who missed it there were videos and pictures quickly available on the network within a gibe hours.
