By Henrik Ibsen
A Dolls House is a play create verbally by Henrik Ibsen who was a major19th-century Norwegian playwright and poet. He is often referred to as the father of prose drama and is hotshot of the founders of modernism in the theatre. Although Ibsen didnt admit that he ha written this play to support feminism, its considered as one of the important libber works. As a female Im glad to discuss the womens liberationist issue in this play. A dolls house is a libber text as it reflects how the women are oppressed in the party and ends by how they should be in their stands.
The title of the play open ups a kind of shadow to what the play is about. It shows that Nora is treated like a doll at her fathers house at the jump and thence at her keep ups house. Her father treated her like a doll, and he could be considered as the reason behind her misery. For he doesnt give her the chance to be independent or to have her receive opinion. The time Nora supposed to have a kind of freedom, her husband comes to take the role of her father in treating her like an irresponsible child using many ways that appears clearly from the runner of the play. Torvald treats Nora more like a possession label her court names and preventing her from eating macaroons to keep her body fit as he like it.

Especially regarding money, he always satires her calling her a spendthrifts and enjoying himself by teasing her to give her money. At the beginning I blamed Nora for such life that she lives. Then I found that I was mistaken as she was brought up to live like that. The other reason that prevents me from blaming her is the change that will authorise to her at the end of the novel.
Later in the play, Noras character begins to develop...If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: Ordercustompaper.com
