Discourse Community- prowess Club in High school
As p imposture of our prep last week in ENGL 1301, we were told to read in the firstly Year Writing: Perspectives on Argument book in order to maximize our understanding about the importance of master rhetorical skills in our musical composition at a college level. And by having a clear understanding of the three appeals: Logos, Ethos, and Pathos, as writers or speakers, we can move our audiences in a direction that is equal for us to accomplish our purposes or to justify our claim on a certain subject that matters to us. Similarly to how we define dialogue residential area in our last assignments that we submitted for ENGL 1301, a treatment community is classified as a particular group of community who pursue a common interest, who share an ideal purpose in any area that reflect their beliefs, and adopt a similar body of knowledge.
In this paper, I will settle that I entered the discourse community of high school art club by gaining the sufficient amount of knowledge, establishing my credibility as a fellow member of the art club, and learning to influence others in the art club community. This is an important step because by writing about my own experience in a discourse community, my experience will carry on as a stepping stone to master logos, ethos, and pathos appeals; the rhetorical skills that I submit to understand and apply in the real world.
If we look beyond our discourse community, we can see that in any community, they whole have their own rules and belief systems. And as a member of a discourse community we are required to make out others suggestions and share the same body of knowledge as they do in order for us to comprehend why the groups fair game on certain issues and approve on certain issues.
