Acts 19:1-7 is an account of Paul traveling to Ephesus and finding 12 disciples of John the Baptist. When he meets them he asks them if they had received the Blessed lifespan when they were baptized to which they answered No, we have not even hear that there is a Holy Spirit.(NIV) Paul then goes on to tell them about the Holy Spirit and baptizes them in the Spirit where they begin to speak in tongues and prophesies. These seven rhyme ar direct and to the point but the Bible being as deep as it is will reveal to us the rightful(a) meaning of these verse and we will go look at each verse individually and look in to their corroborate ground and then look at what Luke was trying to say the readers of this book.

Acts 19:1 states, While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the lane through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he pitch some disciples. Here we can see that Luke has three things charge out on here in this one verse; the touch of Apollos, the route Paul took to Ephesus, and his meeting of Disciples. The first part of this verse talks about Apollos, a man that Luke has mentioned earlier in chapter 18.



Luke tells us in 18:24-25 about Apollos when we writes, Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a extreme knowledge of the Scriptures. 25 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor and taught about the Nazarene accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John.[1] Here we are told that Apollos has thorough knowledge of the scripture, this would likely mean that he understood how the scriptures get hold of promises about the Christ.[2] Yet he does not know of the redemption that Christ has provided him, but he was told by Priscilla and Aquila the square(a) way of Jesus christ and was encouraged by the disciples to go to Antioch were he would be a valuable asset to the church there.
