Roger McGough
When I read the poetry 40 love I first thought it was about a center of attention days couple playing tennis but when I started to think about it I realized that there argon a lot of symbols and metaphors hidden inside. For example the title 40 love it could mean, love at the age of 40 or it could be a tennis score.
I think the poet is nerve-wracking to say that the middle age couple does not pick up a really good relationship. Their relationship is like a tennis mark, they play against each other. He also cherished to show that the couple is separated. He does that symbolically, I could almost speak out the couple fighting because of the structure of the poem.
Like I state before, the writer uses metaphors, symbols and physical objects. Physical objects such as the realise between the couple and symbols and metaphors as well as the title of the poem 40 love.
He also uses language, short, lancinating words and I drive out imagine the couple at home barely speaking to each other and if indeed only using sharp words and I can almost feel the distance between them. In that poem the author tries to explain the idea of separation too, he does it by separating words, e.g. be-tween, ten-nis. And the rhythm of the poem is like a tennis match as well, bitty and bouncy.
With the poem the poet describes the relationship that the middle age couple has which is like a tennis match. He does it by using metaphors and symbols, so we could actually imagine the couple fighting. The layout of the poem is also similar to a tennis match. If you want to tick a full essay, order it on our website: Ordercustompaper.com
