Maturity

Maturity is a characteristic that you bunco as you amount older. In the memoir, The Glass Castle, by Jeanette Walls, Jeanette and her siblings matured at unripe ages because of there sistuation. Jeanettes parents, Rex and rosemary, were not there as much as they should of been. The walls didnt have a steady place to live, as well as Rex and rosemary couldnt hold a job either. With having to move constantly Jeanette has to learn how to take care of herself and her siblings. Through out the memoir Jeanette grows to be mature and a young age.
Battle moutian was were Jeanette matured the most. When Jeanette was tether she was brought to the hospital becasue while she was cooking hotdogs she caught on fire. Three weeks subsequently she was taken out of the hospital she was cooking hotdogs for herself again, I cooked myself some(a) hotdogs. I was hungry, Mom was at work on a painting, and no one else was there to fix them for me(walls 15).



Jeanette has to feed herself because Rosemary finds other tasks more important then her children most of the time. by and by living in Battle Moutian for a while, Rosemary got a job as a teacher. When Jeanette and Lori got up for school they would also have to get Rosemary up and ready for her day, It was up to Lori, Brian, and me to get her out of bed and see to it that she was dressed and at school on time.(walls 74). This shows lack of matureness from Rosemary, and shows why Jeanette has to be so mature for her age.
